Andy accepted my request for a family photo shoot with easy and clear communication. Location chosen was Perdana Lake Garden on a weekday morning in June. The park has lush green trees and provides beautiful backdrop. Andy was able to prompt us (2 adults and 1 six-year-old) clearly and the shoot was smooth and easy. The results are natural looking photos in natural light, which is what i wanted. The shoot took roughly 1 hour and did not feel too stretched even for young one. Andy provided the final photos in a short turnaround time. i.e. he could work efficiently. Overall, all good!

We recently engaged Andy for a family photoshoot at our home, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Five stars for Andy! We did a big family photoshoot at Taman Botani Putrajaya last weekend, and he was incredible to work with. Highly recommend Andy for any future family portrait photography. From our initial enquiry right through to the final delivery, everything was smooth, seamless and incredibly efficient.

At the very last minute, one of our family members had an accident, which made travelling between photo spots quite challenging. Andy was understanding and thoughtful, and mapped out the best possible route for us, making sure we didn’t have to compromise on quality or aesthetics while still accommodating to our mobility challenges.

Another huge plus was the guidance he gave us during the shoot. We’re not natural posers and usually feel quite awkward in front of the camera, but Andy’s clear and gentle direction really helped us relax and feel at ease. The whole experience felt positive, and we’re so grateful for how accommodating and professional he was throughout.

We are so happy we worked with Andy for our Chinese tea ceremony and family photoshoot at home. He captured so many beautiful candid moments during the ceremony, as well as warm, natural family portraits that we’ll treasure forever! Andy of Emotions in Pictures is amazing to deal with! Myself and my partner from Melbourne and the rest of our family from Canada and France spent 2 weeks in KL for my dad’s 80th birthday and I had to find a local photographer last minute to capture our moments. Recently I've engaged with Andy for family photo session at home. Andy is kind and professional during the photo session. He does give suggestions on how to reorganize some of furniture at home to make the photos taken look balance and nice. I had some defects on the photo canvas when it was delivered to me. My wife and I booked Andy for a photo shoot nearby Putra Mosque, and Andy beautifully captured some of our best pictures together. Definitely a good family photoshoot experience with Andy! He gave us simple instructions on the poses (where to stand, how to sit etc) for the photos, but in an easy going manner so it didn't feel forced or awkward. We laughed a lot !
Photos turned out natural which was how we wanted it to be.

The greatest photographs are motivated by feelings and that is exactly what Andy Lim managed to capture in our family portrait.
My sons were down from overseas for Christmas holidays after the long lockdown. Just two days prior to them flying back, my hubby proposed that we have a family shoot. I was totally clueless on how to get anyone to do the shoot for us at the eleventh hour. I quickly googled and managed to find emotions in pictures by Andy Lim. I loved the reviews shared and called the number. My call was answered by Andy himself. After I explained the situation to him, he was very accommodating and understanding. We arranged an hour session for our family portrait the next day and since my home is by the lake, I proposed to have the shoot there.
Andy Lim arrived on the dot while I had a difficult time getting my four young sons ready for the shoot. None of them were keen and worst of all, none wanted to go to the lake. I had to give Andy a big last minute surprise by asking him to use my home for the family potrait. He was quick to agree and identified some nice spots both inside and outside the home for the photography. He managed to get the whole session going with loads of fun and banter. To my surprise my sons were very cooperative and managed to pose naturally with Andy's guidance. It was truly meaningful for their 88 year old grandmother as well. Andy portrayed his skills and talent by making her really comfortable and the centre of attraction in all the photos. We are thrilled with the results of Andy Lim's work. I am so glad we had the family potrait. Thank you Andy for making it a memorable moment for my family and I.
