Andy Lim began his photography journey after graduating from design college in 1992. Since then, he has shared his knowledge through numerous public talks and continues to inspire others with his passion for photography.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Andy is a highly regarded professional wedding and portrait photographer. His brand, Emotion in Pictures, is known for its distinctive style and has attracted clients from around the world.
These days, Andy devotes most of his time to family portrait photography and corporate portraiture, working with a long list of prestigious companies. His team also specializes in corporate event photography and videography, while another dedicated team focuses on capturing personal celebrations such as birthdays and private events.
An avid traveler, Andy’s gallery of travel and landscape photography has been published globally. While he started out shooting with DSLR cameras, he later embraced the portability of mirrorless systems, and on recent trips, he has relied solely on his smartphone and a DJI Action camera to capture his journeys.
Andy is also passionate about photography education. He runs PhotoGuru Photography Workshops, offering hands-on training for beginners to advanced photographers. He is the author of the best-selling SimpleSLR Photography Guide e-book series, which has helped countless photographers master their craft.
